>Online Presence

>I don’t have an online presence. It’s complicated why this is the case and I don’t want to go into it, but I do want one. How do I go about becoming an online star?

Two days ago I found out that I’m somewhat popular anyway. According to Aimee, the second highest reason that people visit her website is that they are searching for me.

    >Gi,Aren’t you NOT supposed to put your full name out there on the internet? Like, aren’t parents and school teachers always telling high school girls not to put personal info on their myspace pages or else they’ll get kidnapped?

  • aimee says:

    >she’s lost her mind.gili!! get a grip!!! it’s OKAY not to have a billion things come up on a google search of you. in fact, that’s kind of amazing. and lucky you, there are no porn stars w/yr name.

  • polarchip says:

    >Actually, I was thinking there’s a business opportunity for a company that could erase all traces of you on the web.But Gi, I understand your motivation. In this day and age, it’s like you don’t exist unless you’re on the internet.

  • aimee says:

    >OOOH, that would be such a smart idea for a business!! is that even possible?

  • Gili says:

    >It didn’t work anyway. If you google me, my name still doesn’t come up from this post. What’s a girl have to do?

  • >Hey, I’ve already heard about a business like that. It’s supposed to fix your online reputation…for a fee. I think that job-searchers do that.

  • polarchip says:

    >Gi, you need to put labels on your posts that say your name, and then also you need to add meta tags. Then it will come up. I’ll help you on Tues if you really want. But are you sure it’s a good idea?
