>sheltered from the dip

>At one of Riva’s workplaces, the Museum of Science, I learned that not everyone grows up in a shopping mall. First time adult Dippin’ Dots encounters can be so precarious. Luckily, this time was a success.

I’m enjoying Pastoralia by George Saunders, but sometimes the metaphors cast a shadow over my brain and I lose track of the bigger picture.

Joseph and I watched Bridge to Terabithia on the bus. Disney is capable of (and follows through with) ruining everything.

I taught my English short story class The Swimmer by Cheever today, and my favorite student said the main character was retarded. I keep trying to get her to articulate herself without her single-word vocabulary. So far, no luck.

It’s good to be home.

    >oh, Dad. So much to learn.dippindots dot comThe company freezes ice cream at a temp that creates tiny balls. new texture, new taste. cold and delicious.I think it’s mostly popular in midwest malls. Mall of America, shopping centers in Michigan, Minnesota State Fair, Ohio malls, etc.
