>This past week, I’ve had three separate conversations where I’ve been given the advice that when times are rough, it’s best to disassociate. Internally, I’m up in arms. Is this really the best way to handle hardship or difficult situations? And, if disassociation is the answer, can I learn this skill? Further, if I can learn to disassociate, what is the trade-off; what do I lose?
