>Have sisterhood, will travel.
August 10, 2008 §
Riva took a bus from Boston; I took a bus from New York. We met in the middle to watch The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 together.
The middle turned out to be Hartford, a city with which neither of us is at all familiar. Somehow appropriately, the Hartford map said, “You are her.”
Sisterhood is absolutely one of our main guilty pleasures. We’ve read all four of the books, watched/own the first movie, and have crushes on two (at times three) of the main characters.
I brought the sisterhood bracelets (that say, “Join the Sisterhood,” and “Pants=Love,” which were handed out at the first Sisterhood movie sneak preview.
The second movie was not even close to as good as the first (which doesn’t even come close to the greatness of the books). I’m still glad we got to see it together.
After the movie, we had time to kill, so we went to the local Aveda for a quick brow wax. Our cosmetologist, Mary caused the least amount of pain I’ve ever experienced when having hair ripped off my face. She went to town on Riva.
We made the day a double-feature, and watched Pineapple Express, which was funny, but went on way too long.
Rule Number Ten: Remember: Pants = love. Love your pals. Love yourself.
