>still in love

>Sunday, Joseph planned a day-long date. After the first pilates in the park of the year at Socrates Sculpture Park, which meant reuniting with Courtnie, our chipper instructor, we stuck around for Tai Chi, which I haven’t attempted since I almost passed out from the slowness during college. As suspected, I became quite antsy, the ADD flaring up, and so we cut out in the middle of class and began our date. Joe treated me to brunch at Cheryl’s Global Soul, which is where we reunited almost seven months ago. We shared Nutella and banana pancakes and the Nova Scotia salmon platter. Then we strolled through Brooklyn Botanical Garden. We were too late to see the cherry blossoms in bloom, but the people-watching satisfied me. Post-botanical, we made a stop at Blue Marble for ice cream. Then we headed to Greenpoint for Joseph’s home cooking: barbecue chicken and sweet acorn squash. The whole day was a perfect kick-off to summer in New York.
