Joseph and I spent the warmest weekend this year sojourning with the natural world.

We hiked 2.5 miles up to the top of Overlook Mountain where I discovered that the anxious apple doesn’t fall far from the tree: like my father, I am afraid of heights.

The very best part was the descent.

This past week, Nukah turned six months. To celebrate Nukah and also Joseph (because it was time), we went to the lighthouse where Cornelius’ ashes were scattered.

We ate all of Joe’s favorites: salami, cheese, Triscuits, old man candy, coconut water, coffee, and baby carrots.
