>Tomorrow Joe and I fly to San Francisco for Thanksgiving. I haven’t been back since I moved away in the summer of 2005. Here’s a list of some of the not-to-be-missed hot spots for food and drink where I’ll be taking Joe so he can see how it’s done Bay Area style.

1. Hot chicken sandwich at Dolores Park Café
2. Indian pizza from that place in the Mission
3. Chocolate pudding from Tartine
4. Thai iced tea ice cream from Mitchell’s
5. Burritos from Cancun
6. Ethiopian food from Addis
7. Quesadillas from Papalote
8. Slices from Marcello’s
9. El Rio for drinks
10. Mama’s Royal Café in Oakland
11. Lanesplitter in Oakland
12. Phone Booth for drinks
13. Lex for pool
14. Breakfast at Pork Store (shop in the Haight for vintage leather jackets, shoes, etc.)
15. The Eagle for drinks and peanuts

(This picture was taken a couple of days before I left the Bay Area in 2005.)
