Off to a good start: stuffed and happy

April 14, 2012 Comments Off on Off to a good start: stuffed and happy

Today has been a super mellow, delicious birthday with some of my favorite people.

Sandra’s in town! We woke up this morning ready to try my birthday present from Joe, a swinging garden chair, which is hanging from a tree in the backyard.

After a walk in the park, we headed into town for Ess-A-Bagel. The good eats went on from there.

We stopped by Russ and Daughters for some treats before we hit up the Doughnut Plant.

In the evening, we visited an old haunt, Sweet Revenge.

Then we stopped to feed Zevi in a park before heading home.

We finished off the night with hamburgers and green onions on the grill.

It’s been a long time since I’ve had such a low-key birthday celebration, and today was just what I wanted: family, good friends, good weather, good food, and good conversation. Here’s hoping thirty-three will be as fab as thirty-two.
So far, so good.
