Heart moving

This afternoon, Joe left for Iowa, and I am learning about being without my partner while taking care of our small (not so small?) baby. Joe will be back Sunday, and I’m trying not to make a big deal about it, but really, I don’t know how people do the parenting thing on their own.

Before Joe left, we attended Zevi’s Friday playgroup and her leopard-print leggings were a hit. She really knows how to work a room, such a little hamster.

Tonight, Riva arrives in Brooklyn to slumber party with me for the weekend, and then tomorrow, Veronica will come join Operation Gili Doesn’t Want To Parent Alone.

Zevi is asleep, which means I’m listening to Lou Reed’s Move Your Heart from the Hudson River Wind Meditations on repeat. My heart keeps moving, Lou.
